Baseball Hall of Fame - Class of 2009 - Tribute

In my rash effort to pay homage to the two 2009 Hall of Fame inductees, I left little time to find the right - or special cards to post.

I've been busy with a short film production and auction house consulting to sink my teeth into some custom made cards. But late last night I refused to retire until I got a pair worthy of posting.

So here are RICKEY HENDERSON and JIM RICE.

I've added a fantasy card of Willie Mays in his final season on a 1974 Topps card.

I am not much of a believer in Tarot Cards. But if cards were going to be a predictor of what the coming year holds, I would gladly go through my collection to prognosticate the future. I am hoping that the cycle of Presidents comes around to a good one like the THOMAS JEFFERSON on this 1910 Royal Bengal Tobacco.

2008 was a bit of a mean year - cruel and even beautifully menacing like the wicked CALLISTO from the Xena tv series.

Sometimes stranger things happen. People overcome difficulties, they solve problems and they come together. No need to call Dana Scully - FBI's Fem-Filly of X-Files. The problem may be simpler to fix ...

... with a good sitdown and a little PEACE & LOVE. It may just all be in our minds.

Hopefully, we can all collect a little, trade a little, share a little and enjoy a lot. We can dance if we want to ...

While we open packs and mail envelopes we can wish the best - a HOMERUN perhaps - that keeps us smiling like the "Say Hey Kid" - Willie Mays.
